Life happens to me.
The long childhood of the human race, when everything came in pairs and the pairs were at odds.
This era is also a range you can enter today, in the time it takes to read a message or take a slow breath. Maturity is not arriving somewhere and staying.

The heart of it
Life felt like something that happened to us.
Good and evil. Us and them. Light and dark. It seemed as though the world acted on us and we could only answer it, and God felt far away, someone to be approached carefully.
None of it was a punishment, and none of it was a test. It was what happens when a species does not yet have the developmental capacity to navigate reality any other way. A toddler learning to walk falls down constantly. Nobody is doing that to the toddler.

There are three depths within this era.
Where most people met this era is not where it ends.
They are not taught on this page. They are taught in the book, and in the deeper work of the Movement.
